On 31 March 2007, 2.2 million people and 2100 Sydney businesses turned off their lights for one hour - Earth Hour. This massive collective effort reduced Sydney's energy consumption by 10.2% for one hour, which is the equivalent effect of taking 48,000 cars off the road for a year.

And one last little thing while I'm here. If you happen to have a spare $10 lying around, you can purchase a net to safe a life at Nothing But Nets.org
MALARIA KILLS - YOU CAN HELP SAVE LIVES
Malaria kills more than 1 million kids a year. For just $10 we can buy a net, distribute it to a family and educate them on its use. You can save a family. Your friends, school, church, or team can save a village. Together we can cover a continent...
Now, back to your regularly scheduled candidate diaries.
Have a good one! :o)
